West Kilbride SWI held their March meeting on Wednesday, March 20 in West Kilbride Village Hall.
The speaker for the evening was Ayrshire artist Jan Laird, from Cronberry, near Cumnock.
She talked about her road to becoming an artist and showed how she would draw a robin and a tiger’s eye.
Margaret McIntyre thanked her for her talk, and then Jan judged the competitions.
The results were as follows.
Easter card: 1 Anne Grant, 2 Isobel Weatherall.
Gingerbread: 1 Isobel Weatherall, 2 Thelma Wilson, 3 Lorraine Corrigan.
Item of jewellery: 1 Marlene Middleditch, 2 Thelma Wilson, 3 Lizbeth Thompson.
The next meeting will be the AGM to be held on Wednesday, April 17, please note this meeting starts at 7pm in the West Kilbride Village Hall.
