THIEVES stole three bikes during a break-in at a primary school in Dalry, it's been revealed.

It's believed that the intruders broke into Dalry Primary during the evening of Wednesday, March 20 and stole three bikes from the school's art room.

A letter sent out to parents and carers of pupils at the school, seen by the Herald, stated that the bikes were given to the school by partner agencies for cycling training.

It stated: "As you can imagine we are very shocked and saddened by this.

"If anyone has any information regarding the stolen bikes could you please contact the school office on 01294 832788."
