Helensburgh and Lomond residents are being urged to donate essential items to people in desperate need during a clothing drive this weekend.
Rhu and Shandon Parish Church and their partner charity Glasgow the Caring City will be collecting clothes for people affected by crises in the Middle East on Saturday, May 11 between 10am and 12 noon.
Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and shoes are all needed.
A spokesperson for the church said: “We have all been aware of the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Middle East.
“Our partner charity – Glasgow the Caring City – is part of the humanitarian aid effort trying to help those desperately in need.
“They are again asking for our help. They need men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes.
“We have responded generously in the past with collections for the dispossessed and homeless in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Glasgow and the West of Scotland and now, they are asking for our support to help victims of this crisis.”
Donations should be brought in a tied plastic bin bag.
